July 4th Party Ideas

Untitled design (10)

The Fourth of July is almost here, and with that comes some of the best and most patriotic parties of the year. With the United States still alive in the group stage of the World Cup with a very real chance of advancing on, the celebrations and pride in country are elevated even more than usual. This year, throw the best Fourth of July party you can with these ideas. Celebrate the birth of our nation, what it took to get to this point, and what that means for you.

The Decorations

It doesn’t matter if you choose to use simple and easy decorations or something more complex, the colors of your Fourth of July decorations are what will make them stand out. Make sure to incorporate the red white and blue in every faction of the decorating from the party banners to the silverware. Create your own star banner by using red white and blue stars and looping them together. While simple, this will add a flare to the party.

What to Do

Sometimes the most simple Fourth of July activities end up being the most memorable. Spend some time out by the pool or head out to the lake with a picnic. You’ve got the day off, take the chance to relax with friends and family. Sit outside soaking up the sun talking with others. At night, watch the sky light up with fireworks from all across the city. You can invest in your own fireworks to use in the driveway, or enjoy those that are delivered by city or business entities. Listen and watch as some of the greatest displays of light are shown.

The Food

There are a few foods that have become iconic for the Fourth of July, more than almost any other is the hot dog. If you aren’t headed to the baseball stadium on the fourth, there are other foods you can make to still set your holiday party apart from the rest. Here you can incorporate once again the colors of red white and blue into your holiday meals. Some popular and fun things to make include:

  • Apple-berry pie – these are delicious, easy to make, and can be topped with blue sprinkles to incorporate all colors of the American flag
  • Burgers – like hot dogs, burgers have become iconic for American food. Couple this with fries or chips, and make it unique by trying out new recipes such as the Hawaiian burger.
  • Raspberry lemonade – this lemonade is a refreshing drink, which can be changed in many variations. Add whole blueberries to the prepared drink to get the mix of red and blue.

Make the most of your Fourth of July party this year, adding the right decorations and activities to make it memorable. Do the things that will make your Fourth of July party better than ever before.
